Thrift Store Fruit Bowl

Before I even start this post, I know what you’re thinking…. this project looks like something you’ve seen before, right? Well, yeah. If you scroll down a little bit, you’ll see these bow {and other junk} holders. I’m not going to lie, this is EXACTLY the same as that, but bigger. But for now, let’s pretend like I never do that same project over and over again. Yeah, let’s pretend I’ve got a TON of new ideas floating around in my old noggin’…. Ok, now we can proceed.
Don’t you just LOVE my new fruit bowl? It is so cute {and functional} sitting on my kitchen table.
And guess what? I got it at the thrift store. Not looking like this, of course….
Remember when I got it? Here. It started out as this beautiful Christmas bowl.
Paired with this pretty awesome candle holder
Hot glued together, spray painted white, and lightly distressed with sandpaper…..
And WALLAH!!!!
The best part is… It only cost $1.75 and took me about 15 minutes, plus drying time.
So head to the thrift store. Go. I can wait. And send me a picture of what you make out of the junk treasures you find there!

  • That's so awesome!! I need to start looking for good deals on candle sticks. I've seen a lot of people making cake plates with them too!
